Demonstrator for a Day Discount!

Demonstrators receive a 20% discount EVERY DAY on their orders. Some people become Stampin' Up! Demonstrators *just* for the discount (and they are totally allowed to do that!).

TODAY ONLY, I'm giving you a little taste of that amazing discount!

Local orders - just place through me by emailing holly@hollystamps.com or calling me at 419-775-7996 and you'll receive the 20% discount instantly! This only applies to orders placed today and through me.

Online Orders - not local? That doesn't mean you can't get the discount! If you place an online order through me at http://hollyvandyne.stampinup.net I will send you (via mail) a money order within the week of the 20% discount on your order. The Stampin' Up! ordering website does not handle discounts for individual demonstrators so I must do it this way.

THE 20% DISCOUNT ENDS SATURDAY, MARCH 24th AT 11:59PM EST.

Have fun shopping and every order I receive today will get entered into a drawing for the $400 hostess pack of the Fresh Vintage stamp set, a pack of the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series paper, and the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad pack!

PS - For this image I used the One Big Sale-a-Bration CD (FREE with a $50 order) and item number 127220!

FREE Teacher Gifts!

I'm embarrassed to say that I struggle with teacher gifts. Most of all it's because I'm so last minute that I don't think of it until ... the last minute.

Thanks to Sale-a-bration - NOT THIS YEAR! I was SO excited to see the From Your Teacher stamp set in the Sale-a-bration catalog this year! I've been meaning to get this set for the teachers anyway, but with it being a Sale-a-bration item, I wouldn't have to pay for them this year!

But the stamp set looked too plain once I got it assembled. It needed something else. I added a jumbo binder clip and decorated it with some Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (also a FREE Sale-a-bration item! - #126154) and added it to the contents of the box. Then I used the Sizzix Labels framelets from the Occasions mini catalog to cut the labels and added the information to it. Then tied it up with the Lucky Limeade ribbon from Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad pack (also a FREE Sale-a-bration item! - #127279). Did you know that this ribbon curls like curling ribbon with the edge of your scissors???) :)

Thanks to Sale-a-bration I have my teacher gifts DONE - TWO MONTHS EARLY! :)

What an Opportunity!

This hour's Sale-a-bration item used is the Digital Piece of Cake kit (item #127222)! This may be one of my favorite digital kits ever (I also used it for the new header on the blog above and my Holly Stamps website). And guess what! You can get it FREE by joining my Stampin' Up! team TODAY only!

Just when you thought joining Stampin' Up! couldn't get any better...
  • Starter kit is on sale for only $125 (and has over $340 worth of supplies inside!)
  • Get a FREE pack of Designer Series paper or a FREE Digital Download every month for the rest of 2012 or as long as you remain an active demonstrator.
  • AND I am offering - today only! - a FREE Sale-a-bration item of your choice with your Funky Stampers welcome kit!
Any questions? Email me at holly@hollystamps.com, or if you know you are ready to have the most enjoyable "job" EVER, just click here and enter "hollyvandyne" if it asks you for your demonstrator's code.

Can't wait to have you join our team!

Let's get this Sale-a-bration PARTY started!!!!!

Welcome to my first Super-Saturday-Sale-a-bration Celebration Event! I was SO excited that I woke up at 7:00 -- on a Saturday! :) So why not get this party started an hour early? Whooooo Hoooooo!!!

Today I'm going to post every hour from 9am - 9pm (and maybe some posts in between!) with Sale-a-bration items, giveaways, prizes, sales, and so much more! Just when you thought Stampin' Up!'s Sale-a-bration couldn't get any better, right?

The first post is a card I did for a workshop a few weeks ago. My hostess already had the Build A Bird punch and wanted to make a card using the Language of Friendship set that is NOW available as a FREE Sale-a-Bration item (Free when you spend $50 or more before tax/shipping). It's Sale-a-bration item # is 127721 (wood) and 127722 (clear). It's hard to see in the photo but the woodgrain stamp was applied to the background, THEN I ran the front of the card through the Stripes embossing folder to give it a little bit of depth. Watch for another post (very!) soon with more details on some of the deals happening today here on the blog! I'm also going to be posting the details on the top right-hand side of the blog for quick reference.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot! Leave a comment on ANY post made today to get an entry into a drawing for a ribbon envelope! What's a ribbon envelope, you ask? It's an envelope stuffed with various lengths of current and retired Stampin' Up! ribbon! Only one comment per post, please.

MDS Blog Hop - Catalog CASE

What a fun challenge this week! We were challenged to CASE something in a catalog. I just loved the card on page 18 of the Occasions Mini Catalog, so that's what I decided to CASE digitally.

I was so excited when Stampin' Up! offered the Blossom Builders set as a digital download. Flowers and I go way back. Not to mention - COLORED BLING! Yippee! :) The paper strip in the background is from the Walk in the Park II kit.

Thanks so much for following along the blog hop and be sure to visit our super-talented guest hopper today - Kimberly Van Diepen! I can't wait to see what amazing eye candy she comes up with! :) And be sure to stop by tomorrow - the Super-Saturday-Sale-a-bration event starts tomorrow with hourly postings from 9am - 9pm EST.

New Openings for Technique Tuesday Card Club!

WOW has it been CRAZY warm here in Ohio this past week - so weird for March! But I love it. It gets me in the mood for summer! And besides the wonderful weather, what else can get you in the mood for summer? Stampin' Up!'s new Summer Smooches collection will! It's a sneak peek from the new 2012/2013 Catalog and Idea Book AND it's available to everyone on April 1st - but for the month of April ONLY.

My six-month Technique Tuesday club ended in January and I'm re-starting it at the end of March. I have a few spots that opened up in the club - would you want one?

The club consists of 6 people and meets the last Tuesday of every month for six months (March, April, May, June, July and August). Listed below are the requirements and benefits to joining for the 6 months!
  • Make 3 cards once a month for six months (March - August), on the last Tuesday of each month.
  • YOU will be the hostess during one of these six months and get the hostess benefits from all of the orders placed during your month.
  • Each month you will be required to place a $25 minimum order (before tax/shipping), even if you do not attend that month.
  • You will receive a free 2012/2013 Idea Book & Catalog as soon as it is released and all mini catalogs during the span of the club.
  • A dessert and refreshments during each club event.
The first club night is Tuesday, March 27th at my house and the technique for March will be WINDOW CARDS (one of the cards we will be making is shown above, using the new Summer Smooches collection). Members will be added on a first-come, first-serve basis. If it fills quickly, I may open a second club.

If you'd like to join please send an email to holly@hollystamps.com or call me at 419-775-7996.
Thank you and I hope to see you on the 27th!

WHAT did he do?

So last week I got a new car. I used to have a van, but with the girls older and since I only have two of them I decided to downsize. Well, I think hubby likes it more than I do. So much that he went out and bought some LED light strips to put on the headlights (don't ask, I have no idea on this one - I think it's a guy thing.)

But the car is dark and the strips were white and just looked plain silly. So he wanted to paint them black with little holes for the lights to shine through. He asked me for little circle stickers which I didn't have. So I thought we were done until I saw the light strips painted. I asked, "Where did you get the dots?", he answered, "Upstairs." with a nasty little grin on his face.

'Upstairs' is code word for my craft room. UGH! But it took me a minute to identify them. Can you?

...

... (keep going!)

...

... (almost there!)

...

...

Did you guess these?

How's that for versatility? :)

So if your husband would like to add some LED strips to your headlights and paint them black - be sure to get some of Stampin' Up!'s Large Pearl Jewels! (And in case you are wondering - he promised to buy me a new pack.

I'll be back with a new project (sorry, not car-related) tomorrow! Until then, have a wonderful Monday.

MDS Blog Hop - Another Sketch Page

I *LOVE* sketches!
And I love Heather for challenging us with another sketch this week. And it's such a fun one too!

Here's my problem. I'm a girl. I have two little girls. I'm SO girly. So all of my pages end up being girly. They're pink. They almost always use flowers and ribbon. Bling and pearls. In fact, looking back it's hard to find a page I've done lately that DOESN'T use pink.

To me, arrows are boyish so I don't use them. Ever! So when I saw this sketch - WHAT? Arrows? Oh, help. But surprise, surprise! This was one of the easiest, funnest pages I've ever done. There is NO pink. Lots of arrows! No flowers. And I can't tell you how much I love how it turned out. So thanks for challenging us, Heather! I'm so glad you did!

Oh, and to create that big bent arrow, I used the pennant punch with a regular arrow punch at the bottom of it and colored them both the same color. It was so much easier to do than I thought it would be!

The paper I used for this one was from the Piece of Cake CD that is a free Sale-a-Bration item (FREE with any $50 Stampin' Up! purchase!) To order, you can visit my online store here.

Now to see what the other MDS blog-hoppers did this week!

MDS Blog Hop - Scraplift!

This week's MDS Challenge was to scraplift another blog-hopper. It was SO much harder to pick than I thought it would be! These MDS blog hop ladies are CRAZY talented!

After lots and lots (and lots!) of looking I finally settled on this little gem by Heather Summers. It's such a fun and colorful page, and I *really* wanted to try her pennant punch background technique because it really made her background jump off of the page at me.

Thanks so much for the constant inspiration, Heather!

And guess what! We have a guest blogger this week - Kristyne Brandt and I can't wait to see what she does with the scraplift challenge!
