Thanks for joining me for the blog hop this week! I'm sorry, this is going to be a short post for me today.
This week one of the most amazing women I've ever known, my Aunt Joan, passed away. To say I'm heartbroken would be an understatement. She meant so much to me and I'll miss her so much. I already do. She always knew what to do and say and always had a smile on her face even when her health wasn't the best. I am so blessed to have had her in my life.
So my quick page using the Blossoms Abound kit is of my Aunt Joan with her nieces and nephews a few Easters ago. She loved us all so much and we loved her right back.

40 Days of Cards - Day 8 - God is Love
During Lent we had the opportunity to have a student prayer partner and I got matched up with one of the sweetest second graders I know. I wanted to make her a simple card that was as sweet as she is - I hope she likes it!

MDS Blog Hop - Hybrid Scrapbook Page
If you are following the My Digital Studio blog hop thank you for hopping through to my blog!
Today's challenge was for us to use our e-cutters or create a hybrid project. And since I don't have an e-cutter, I have a hybrid scrapbook page to share with you today.
I posted the original MDS page that I started with here two years ago as one of my hop pages and this winter I finally had it printed as a 12" x 12" page. Now I love how simple the original was, but it wouldn't be a hybrid page if I didn't add something to it!
I decided to make my own banners using the "I am..." stamp set that I received at the Stampin' Up!'s convention two summers ago. I love this set, but had never used it. It was about time! I stamped the words in Versamark and heat embossed them with black powder. Then I bordered the banners with a black Stampin' Write marker and cut them out.
I added them to the page with two stacked Dimensionals in the middle to give the banners some dimension.
After I added the banners I added some small punched Basic Black flowers scattered around the page.
Once I added those I got out my sewing machine and sewed around my page with white thread and a straight stitch. There wasn't any kind of order to where I sewed it, I just didn't want to stitch over Audrey and I wanted to make sure to sew the ends of each banner down.
After that I added all of the rhinestones and the page was done!
Thanks for joining me for the blog hop today! I haven't forgotten about the 40 days of cards - I'll have another one posted later tonight.
Now head on over to my buddy Jeanna's blog for her take on the challenge! I'm so excited to see what she's done this week. :)

40 Days of Cards - Day 7 - Hi Banners
This is my first chance to use the Banner Blast stamp set (and punch!) that is available FREE with any $50 purchase through Sale-A-Bration and I couldn't be more in love.
I made another window card because I wanted to drape my banner across it with the silver ribbon from the Spring Mini Catalog.
I also used my white Signo Pen to dot around the window sheet so it looks like the dots are "floating". :)
MDS blog hop and another card tomorrow so be sure to come back!

40 Days of Cards - Day 6 - Happy Big Day Card
I cannot love the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series paper (FREE with a $50 purchase) more than I do, especially this pattern. Love the colors! It looks great on silver cardstock with a little Sizzix embossing action going on.
The black and silver flowers are heat embossed, the Coastal Cabana flowers are not. I just layered some small circles for the center of the flowers and added a jewel to the center.

40 Days of Cards - Day 5 - Yippee Skippee Card
I love little shaped cards. I wanted to try one today with the Deco Labels Collection Framelits so I used the biggest size in the collection. Then I started layering on the goodness.
Ribbon, sequins, washi tape, even pearls! And I finished it off with the "Yippee Skippee" stamp from the Yippee Skippee stamp set. And don't forget those fun little dots from the white Signo pen!

40 Days of Cards - Day 4 - Too Much Happy Window Card
Most of my cards up until now haven't taken very long to make (about 10 minutes or less) but today's took a little longer. But only because I went to town with my sewing machine!
Can you tell that it's a window card? I love having different dimensions to look at, makes cards a little more interesting, doesn't it?
Here's my supply list!

40 Days of Cards - Day 3 - MDS Glitter Thank You
Well, this was yesterday's card... got a day behind already!
One of my favorite elements in MDS are the glitter ones and when they came out with the new Glimmer Kit I was so stinkin' excited.
Why?
Because I knew I'd be able to recolor the embellishments to any color I'd want.
I just had a chance to try it out on (yesterday)'s card and it was just as much fun as I thought it would be! Glittery pinks! Glittery blues! Glittery purples!
I've died and gone to MDS glimmer heaven. Can't wait to print this one out and send it to a dear friend who has been helping me a ton with revisions of my latest novel.

40 Days of Cards - Day 2 - Happy Hello
I love when things are easy and painless! That's why I absolutely love Stampin' Up!'s Simply Sent card kits.
This Happy Hello kit was one of my favorites because it was so stinkin' cute and easy. Plus it came with thick stickers AND jewels.
But then it retired. {insert sad face}
But THEN, Stampin' Up! added them to the clearance rack!!! So instead of having to pay $11.95 for the kit...
wait for it... (it's worth it, I promise!)
It's on clearance for $2.39!
Whooooo hooooo!
On this one I just jazzed it up a little bit with some ruffle ribbon sewn on making it another great card in under ten minutes.

40 Days of Cards - Day 1 - Love Ya
I'm spending each of the 40 days of Lent this year by sending a handmade card to a relative, a friend or someone who I might not know but could use a little pick-me-up. :)
Each day I'll be sharing the cards I make on the blog. Today's post is late (sorry!). But I still made my midnight deadline for posting it.
This one uses the new silver cardstock (love!) and the new banner punch available with Sale-a-Bration.
This was honestly such a quick little card, took me ten minutes, tops.
