Princess Party Favors

What a fun day, today!
My cousin came home from out of state to have a princess-themed birthday party for her 1-year-old daughter
. The colors were pink and purple, and Lorrie came over this week to pick out what she wanted the favors to look like. It was so much fun to go through my craft room, picking out things with "Ooooh, this will be PERFECT!" or "This is so cute!" We went to the local chocolate shop and found these fun little chocolate balls that looked like pearls - they fit perfectly in the cellophane bags we were using! We both absolutely loved how they turned out.

The "Every Little Bit" stamp set is on the fast track for becoming one of my favorite stamp sets. There are so many fun little stamps in it that you can do so many cute little things with. LOVE the little coffee cup, the penguin is super-adorable, and don't even get me started on that heart. If you're looking for a cute set that you can do lots with, this is a fantastic one to have!

I forgot to list them in the supplies below, but the bow tied around the lip of the jar is the Whisper White and Pretty In Pink 5/8" satin ribbon and the hearts are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

My Digital Studio Blog Hop - Colors!

Our challenge this week for the My Digital Studio blog hop was a COLOR challenge! How fun! The colors we were to use were:
  • Pear Pizzazz
  • Basic Gray
  • Night of Navy
  • Melon Mambo
  • Whisper White
I love to change my page sizes to mix things up, so this week I did an 8-1/2" x 11" page with a white background to keep it simple. I hope to post the links to the products soon, so if you're wondering what products I used on this then check back.

Spring break starts tomorrow for us and I have lots to show on the blog (and more time to do it with!) Yay! Have a great Friday and be SURE to check out my fellow blog hoppers below to see their take on the color challenge!

FREE Digital Download - Word Tags

I love fonts! And I love designing fun digital goodies - I just haven't done it in a while. So to end this fun day I've created a little FREE digital goodie for you! These four word tags are .png files which means you can use them in just about any graphics program you use. And yes, you can use them easily in My Digital Studio - here's how!
  1. Download the file by clicking this link. Save it where you can find it easily - like on your Desktop.
  2. Find it and open the .zip file - it should give you an option to extract the files. Do that. :)
  3. Open My Digital Studio and create a new or open a current project to use them with.
  4. On the left side of MDS you will see a "Browse" button at the top of the column. Click that and find the extracted folder of the Word Tags on your desktop. Click OK and you'll have the tags on the left side of your screen. Drag them into your project just like you would a photo.
The words are done in Early Expresso, so they will match your other My Digital Studio elements. Enjoy these and if you use them I'd love for you to link back to your project in a comment - I'd love to see what you do with them!

Thanks so much for playing along today - it was such a fun event! I'm going to keep the contests and sales open until midnight tonight and will announce the winners here on the blog tomorrow. :)

Get Well Soon Card

I love the Fresh Vintage stamp set - FREE Sale-a-Bration item #125115 (wood) or #125117 (clear). The large flower image just gets me every single time. I want to use it on EVERYTHING!

Tonight I used it on a Melon Mambo card with my newest love - the Cork sheets! And did you see? I sewed on it with my machine! So not only do I sew on paper AND fabric - I sew on cork! :)

To get the scallops on the cork I cut it out of the clear scalloped square Sizzix die, then punched the large holes in the scallops with the bigger hole of my Crop-A-Dile. All of the supplies used to make this card are listed below! And remember - each order will get you an entry to be the Hostess for the Day and THREE free Sale-a-Bration sets - including the Fresh Vintage stamp set used on this card!

My next post today is going to be a digital freebie so if you love that sort of thing, come back and visit the blog again soon! :)

So, Maybe I Do Sew!

I've been asked so often if I sew. My reply, "Only on paper." My mother was the fabric sewer. She made most of my clothes and could fix just about anything with her machine. But that's my mom. Not me. It's like cooking to me - I have no interest in sewing on fabric what-so-ever.

When Stampin' Up! came out with fabric, it should be no surprise that it didn't interest me in the least. I like paper so much more. It's firm, not flimsy. Have you ever tried to make a card or a scrapbook page out of fabric? I don't think so.

But then I went to the grocery and they had a calendar on super-clearance that would be perfect for me to carry around with my events inside. Too bad the cover was capital U - G - L - Y. Yes, I could have covered it with paper. But wouldn't that be too easy? I'm not really a fan of easy. So I got the FREE Flirtatious Designer Fabric (Sale-A-Bration item #127711) from the Sale-a-Bration book and sewed it over the cover of the book. Did you hear that? I sewed it! And I lived! And I loved it - a lot.

So now, thanks to Sale-A-Bration I'm a sewer of fabric. Look out - they may have created a monster!

Be Today's Hostess!

I'm on my way up to the craft room to work on more Sale-A-Bration projects to share with you as the night goes on, but I have another prize to tell you about!

Every person that places an order today will be entered into a drawing for the special kit of items you get when you host a $400 workshop! The kit includes every item on pages 6&7 of the Sale-A-Bration mini catalog. That's the Fresh Vintage stamp set, a pack of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series paper, and the Everyday Enchantment Ribbons & Brads pack!

Don't forget - every comment you make on ANY of my posts today gets you an entry for an envelope stuffed full of gorgeous Stampin' Up! ribbon!

I'm off to create~

Do Your Friends Love You?

See this super-duper super-sweet Stampin' Up! tote? Until March 31st, you can get this tote by hosting a $150 workshop! But guess what! I have one to give away today!

"How do I win, Holly?"

Well, tell your friends! If your friends post a comment on ANY of the posts I make today and it has YOUR name on the comment - you'll get entered in a drawing for my tote bag! If your friend posts - THEY will get an entry into the post drawing, and when they put your name in the comment YOU will get an entry for the tote drawing! How easy is that?

So run! Email! Post on Facebook or Pinterest! Send all of your friend here to get you entered and may the odds be ever in your favor! (Sorry, I saw the movie last night and just HAD to.) :)

Love this!

Made a quick trip to the grocery, but I'm back to posting! Just wanted to share this little card that my friend Jeanna posted on Facebook a week or so back. Have you seen the ones like these posted on Pinterest? Well, this one CRACKED ME UP! :)

Another post is on its way shortly as soon as I finish my lunch!

Have fun shopping and every order I receive today will get entered into a drawing for the $400 hostess pack of the Fresh Vintage stamp set, a pack of the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series paper, and the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad pack!

PS - For this image I used the One Big Sale-a-Bration CD (FREE with a $50 order) and item number 127220!

FREE Teacher Gifts!

I'm embarrassed to say that I struggle with teacher gifts. Most of all it's because I'm so last minute that I don't think of it until ... the last minute.

Thanks to Sale-a-bration - NOT THIS YEAR! I was SO excited to see the From Your Teacher stamp set in the Sale-a-bration catalog this year! I've been meaning to get this set for the teachers anyway, but with it being a Sale-a-bration item, I wouldn't have to pay for them this year!

But the stamp set looked too plain once I got it assembled. It needed something else. I added a jumbo binder clip and decorated it with some Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (also a FREE Sale-a-bration item! - #126154) and added it to the contents of the box. Then I used the Sizzix Labels framelets from the Occasions mini catalog to cut the labels and added the information to it. Then tied it up with the Lucky Limeade ribbon from Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad pack (also a FREE Sale-a-bration item! - #127279). Did you know that this ribbon curls like curling ribbon with the edge of your scissors???) :)

Thanks to Sale-a-bration I have my teacher gifts DONE - TWO MONTHS EARLY! :)
