And I love Heather for challenging us with another sketch this week. And it's such a fun one too!
Here's my problem. I'm a girl. I have two little girls. I'm SO girly. So all of my pages end up being girly. They're pink. They almost always use flowers and ribbon. Bling and pearls. In fact, looking back it's hard to find a page I've done lately that DOESN'T use pink.
To me, arrows are boyish so I don't use them. Ever! So when I saw this sketch - WHAT? Arrows? Oh, help. But surprise, surprise! This was one of the easiest, funnest pages I've ever done. There is NO pink. Lots of arrows! No flowers. And I can't tell you how much I love how it turned out. So thanks for challenging us, Heather! I'm so glad you did!
Oh, and to create that big bent arrow, I used the pennant punch with a regular arrow punch at the bottom of it and colored them both the same color. It was so much easier to do than I thought it would be!
The paper I used for this one was from the Piece of Cake CD that is a free Sale-a-Bration item (FREE with any $50 Stampin' Up! purchase!) To order, you can visit my online store here.
Now to see what the other MDS blog-hoppers did this week!

Thank you so much for telling me how to do the arrow! I went through the whole blog hop thinking "how do you do that?? I know it was a die that has retired, but you can't get it digitally can you? Thanks again for the inspiration! I'm going to get this done asap!
I absolutely LOVE the colors and the arrows on this page! The yellow really brings you eye right to the pictures.
Really like this! I'm following your blog now. Stop over for a visit.
